Services > ProstheticsPartial Dentures When it is not possible or desirable to close a gap with bridges or implants, partial dentures are used. Partial dentures are attached to the remaining teeth. The attachment options are clasps, attachments, and double crowns. They differ in the material used, the way they are attached to the teeth, the aesthetics, the comfort, the durability, the stability and the amount of work required to make them. These restorations are also made in a German master laboratory and are adapted to your individual wishes and needs during a personal consultation. Full Dentures When all teeth have been lost, we speak of a toothless jaw. In this case, full dentures are used. They are usually made of plastic and are fitted as precisely as possible to the jaw in several appointments and are customized in a natural way, since the hold in the upper jaw is achieved only by a suction effect on the mucous membrane and the alveolar ridge. To improve the aesthetics, our full dentures are specially processed and painted to create a gum-like design. At your request, we can also use special bright colors outside the standard frame to create an eye-catching and attractive smile. Implants The use of implants can significantly improve the retention of a denture. We also have a number of different attachment options available. There are bar, latch, double crown, and ball and socket systems that can be selected in a personal consultation according to individual circumstances and needs. Implants can also be used to replace single teeth or entire rows of teeth. Today, implant placement is as standard a treatment as artificial hip or knee joints. The material used is titanium, which has an oxygen-inhibiting layer to prevent rejection and is therefore considered bioinert and anti-allergenic. The procedure is usually much less uncomfortable than having a tooth removed because the implant is always placed in tissue that is free of inflammation. |
